Jackie Evancho Sees Album Sales Quadruple After Agree To Sing At Trump’s Inauguration

Several Hollywood entertainers have declined to perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day festivities on Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C., because they disagree with him politically.

However, one up-and-coming singer has proven that putting your politics aside and just doing your job as an entertainer can be quite beneficial and profitable.

Jackie Evancho, runner-up on season five of America’s Got Talent, agreed to perform at Trump’s celebration, and the decision has resulted in serious good fortune, as her weekly album sales have quadrupled online and in stores, according to TMZ.

The 16-year-old pop and classical music sensation has been slated to sing the national anthem to kick off the inauguration ceremony, which has obviously been received with widespread approval from fans.

In fact, her recent album, “Someday at Christmas,” had to be restocked twice at certain retailers, and it jumped to #1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart, TMZ reported.

Evancho, unlike other celebrities who declined to perform at Trump’s inauguration in protest of his political stances, has instead focused on doing what she loves and the sheer honor of performing for the United States president.

“I’m so excited,” Evancho told “TODAY.” It’s going to be awesome.

But this wasn’t the young singer’s first time to perform for a United States president, as she has also performed at President Barack Obama’s National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in 2010.

“I felt really honored to have the chance to perform for the president again,” she said about being asked by Trump to sing at his special day.

We’re glad that Evancho’s decision has brought her much-deserved success, and we’re excited to watch her performance on Jan. 20.
