Vandals left behind a disgusting message for a Florida family after they torched the inside of the family’s home.
Matthew Smith of Plant City said his family happened to be staying with grandparents when he got a call from a neighbor at 3 a.m. Tuesday that fire trucks were putting out a fire in his home.
Smith’s home and belongings were damaged, but perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the fire was the anti-Trump graffiti scrawled inside and outside the house.
Vandals spray painted the words “Cracker,” “F*** Trump,” “Not my prez” and “F*** yo kids.”
Smith, a Navy veteran, believed he was targeted because he supported President-elect Donald Trump. Smith said he didn’t have any pro-Trump signs in his yard, but that he did make pro-Trump statements on Facebook.
“The place was ransacked. Clothes from my room, all the way to the back, just made it everywhere. Papers, important documents thrown everywhere, just torn up. The Christmas tree set up yesterday was knocked down and had been lit on fire. Every piece of furniture was pretty much burned through,” Smith told WFTS.
Smith, who has two young children, told WTVT the family’s home was in foreclosure and they had no insurance to cover items that were damaged in the fire. He said he couldn’t imagine who would do something like this to his home.
The fire was being investigated as suspicious.
After incidents like this, the left still tries to suggest that Trump supporters are the violent ones with plenty of hate to spread around. It’s a message they’re having hard time getting people to believe as the truth about the real haters, who almost always end up being anti-Trump, emerges.
