Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who in 2012 propagated a fallacious narrative about the Benghazi terror attack having been inspired by an anti-Islamic video, has a problem with fake news.
“It’s now clear that so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” she proclaimed during a speech Thursday on Capitol Hill, according to Fox News, displaying nary a shred of self-awareness.
Cue laughter in three, two, one …
Or better yet, cue political commentator Rush Limbaugh, whose team pieced together a brief montage of the many times the former secretary of state has lied through her teeth, starting with the lie she told in 1998, when she referenced the rise of a “vast right-wing conspiracy,” as reported at the time by The Washington Post.
“The great story here for anybody willing to find it and write about it and explain it is this vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president,” she had said in defense of her husband and then-president, lifelong womanizer Bill Clinton.
But that was just one of her many, many, many lies.
You can watch the entire montage here:
Her most notorious lie of this century was probably what she said three days after the Benghazi terror attack.
“We’ve seen the heavy assault on our post in Benghazi that took the lives of those brave men,” she said she claimed during a ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland in honor of those who lost their lives during the attack. “We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful internet video that we had nothing to do with.”
You can see those comments here:
Evidence has since proven without a shred of doubt that by the time this ceremony occurred, Clinton already knew that the attack had had absolutely nothing to do with that video.
Yet this woman has the nerve to lecture Americans about fake news?
