With much of the nation’s attention focused on the damage and devastation being done along Florida’s east coast by Hurricane Matthew, it is a certainty that some progressive enviro-statists will use the opportunity to blame the storm on the dreaded “climate change” and demand that the government do … something.
In fact, the topic of supposedly man-made climate change and its relation to hurricanes is bound to come up in the next presidential debate, where the liberal moderators and Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton will be sure to join forces in an effort to proclaim Republican rival Donald Trump as an unbeliever in science and climate change “denier” who is thusly “unfit” to be president.
This has actually happened already, when just about a month ago Hurricane Hermine was swirling around in the Gulf of Mexico, threatening the entire Gulf Coast before eventually making landfall on the northern Florida panhandle and churning up the East Coast.
Recall Clinton speaking at a rally in Tampa in September, when she boldly stated that, unlike her, Trump was in all ways wholly unequipped and unqualified to deal with the immense threat posed by climate change, according to Climate Depot.
“Another threat to our country is climate change. 2015 was the hottest year on record and the science is clear: it’s real, it’s wreaking havoc on communities across America,” Clinton said.
“Last week’s hurricane was another reminder of the devastation that extreme weather can cause, and I send my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by Hermine,” she continued. “But this is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate.”
“If it affects people who lose their homes or their businesses that took a lifetime to build, it doesn’t matter to him,” Clinton added, speaking of Trump. “When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified to be our president.”

It is true that hurricanes are incredibly devastating and can be terribly life-changing for those unlucky enough to be in the path of one. That said, despite cries to the contrary from climate fear-mongers like Al Gore, there have actually been fewer hurricanes overall in recent years, with even fewer becoming exceptionally strong and devastating.
The truth is, the climate changes virtually every day, as it is effected by the giant ball of fire some 90-plus million miles away and the much smaller hunk of rock some 230,000 miles away. This is commonly referred to as “weather” and “seasons.”
Humans and their fairly recent industrious activities upon this planet have had virtually no measurable impact on climate in the grand scheme of things.
Donald Trump has noted that he is skeptical of much of the claims made by climate change adherents, and is even more skeptical of their proposed solutions to combat the supposed changes, such as crippling levels of taxes and regulations that will devastate our industries and economy more than 10 category 4 hurricanes making landfall in the same area in a row.
Hillary Clinton is a true believer in man-made climate change (at least when speaking to her supporters in public) and is fully in favor of the tax and regulatory schemes put forth to combat the supposed threat.
But the American people are smart enough to realize when they’ve been had, and public support for the notion of man-made climate change is rapidly diminishing.
Clinton’s absurd claims that only she can stop devastating hurricanes over Trump is just one of the reasons why.
