Hero Dad Goes Taken on Refugee Who Followed Attacked Tried to Rape Daughter

“There’s a man following me home, Dad …”

A frantic call to her father in the wee hours of the morning likely saved a young German woman’s life, and her father has been rightfully hailed as a hero, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare, but a heroic father saved his daughter from a bag-of-filth Syrian refugee just moments before the unthinkable happened.

After being unable to get a cab home from a disco, the unnamed woman decided to walk the two miles home to her parents’ house in Kleve, Germany. She soon realized she was being followed, according to the report.

Wisely, she began crossing the road from side to side. Even more wisely, she immediately called home to alert her father that something was wrong.

Each time she crossed, her would-be attacker trailed her. Meanwhile, her father took off on an unmotorized scooter to find her. Germany, in January, on a scooter in the middle of the night, racing to save his daughter. One can only imagine the sheer panic.

The young woman had already been dragged from the side of the road into some undergrowth when her father miraculously found her. The attacker had beaten her nearly unconscious, was on top of her and was tearing at her clothes.

Her father leaped, screaming, on top of the assailant and held him down while he called police and an ambulance on his cell phone. It’s noteworthy that the father was 57 and the alleged assailant was 23.

A patrol car raced to the scene and took the “heavily intoxicated” Syrian into custody. German police hailed the father as “a hero. He saved his own daughter from something terrible happening to her.”

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later released.

Metro U.K. reported that the suspect, a 23-year-old Syrian refugee who lives in an asylum seekers’ home in Kleve, was arrested on charges of assault and attempted sexual assault.

He’s lucky Liam Neeson didn’t get to him first. They’d have also needed a hearse.
