Gene Simmons Tells Celebrities to “Shut Their Pie Holes” Regarding Politics

Gene Simmons, frontman for the rock band KISS, offered celebrities some advice they would be wise to accept.

In an interview on Fox Business this weekend, Simmons said he thinks celebrities should “shut their pie holes and do what they do best — act, sing, tap dance … all that kind of stuff.”

The rock star went on to say that anyone actually caring what a celebrity thinks is the “height of foolishness.”

“The Founding Fathers in their wisdom actually did many things right, including creating the Electoral College,” Simmons explained.

Simmons supported the Electoral College, which he said solved the issue of the popular vote. “The Electoral College has spoken. It was created to circumvent all sorts of issues, including the popular vote,” he said.

Simmons, a critic of president Barack Obama and elitist celebrities, has expressed support for Trump before and has no problem telling it like it is.

“President-elect Trump is the president. You can like it, you cannot like it. He’s the new president, that’s the end of the story.”

Simmons certainly didn’t mince words. He also hit on a topic that many pundits, pollsters and liberals had to face during the presidential election — that most thinking Americans don’t care what celebrities think, and celebrities would be doing themselves, and everyone else, a huge favor if they just didn’t talk about about politics.

Simmons made some good points. Celebrities should stop playing politics, and stick to doing what do what they do best. They might find that they’d make more money if they stopped alienating a significant portion of their fan base every time they said something disparaging about Trump or the next politician they don’t agree with.
