When you go to a grocery store, you never know who you might run into, or who might be in line right behind you. One Georgia mother of three learned that lesson at the checkout when she ran into comedian Jeff Foxworthy.
Robin McFadden was struggling with her items and dealing with her fussy children at the checkout when the man standing behind her asked, “How much is she short?”
“I was coming from my son’s basketball game with my three sons and decided to go couponing at Publix in John’s Creek,” she said.
“He laughed, walked around me, put his card in the machine and said, ‘Watch this.’ I told him that he was going to make me cry, gave him a hug, thanked him and took the photo!” she recounted.
McFadden believes that Foxworthy’s act of kindness was a little bit of justice coming around because she had donated almost precisely the same amount of money to a family at Thanksgiving, CBS News reported.
This is an amazing story that unsurprisingly hasn’t been picked up by most major media outlets. Foxworthy isn’t a liberal, so they simply ignore whatever he does. The media salivate every time someone like Leonardo Di Caprio hugs a penguin or throws a penny at a homeless man, but because Foxworthy doesn’t fit their brand of liberal celebrity, he doesn’t exist.
McFadden took a photo with Foxworthy after his good deed, and posted it on Facebook briefly summarizing what had happened, WHIO noted:
The world needs more good people like Foxworthy — people who will step up and help out strangers who are just having a bad day. If more people were like Jeff Foxworthy, this world would be a much better place.
