Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado has decided to stop talking about GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump after scandalous details about her past have emerged.
Machado was trotted out by Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign in an effort to smear Trump over comments he allegedly made about the beauty queen’s weight two decades ago.
“We will not be discussing the Trump subject any further,” representatives for Machado from the Anderson Public Relations Group told the U.K. Daily Mail in an email.
The reps also attached a statement where Machado blamed Trump for “launching insults and are attempting to revive slanders and false accusations about my life, in order to humiliate, intimidate, and unbalance me.”
Is there a “hypocrite” award at beauty pageants? Because Machado would certainly be up for that with her next statement: “These attacks are cheap lies with bad intentions.”
That sounds a lot like the allegations she put forward at the behest of the Clinton campaign, don’t you think?
Trump didn’t sit back as Machado threw allegations at him, and apparently Machado doesn’t like her seedy past brought to light.
Seedy things such as Machado having sex on camera on a reality show — while she was engaged to Major League Baseball player Bobby Abreu — or allegedly having a baby with a Mexican drug lord.
It was also alleged that Machado’s allegations and staunch support for Clinton were in exchange for the Democrat candidate helping her gain U.S. citizenship — she was naturalized on Aug. 19 this year.
A video also came out that showed Trump at a press conference with Machado where he offered strong support for the bloated beauty queen — a beauty queen that gained 60 pounds during her reign as Miss Universe, and undoubtedly would not have won the crown at her expanded size.
Mainstream media outlets called Machado out for her weight 20 years ago, but now all of a sudden Trump is the bad guy based on allegations that he did the same thing. He didn’t have an “R” attached to his name then, however, which seems to change the rules of the game for liberals.
This is an absolutely absurd story and it’s good to hear that Machado is doing the first sound thing she’s done throughout this whole debacle — stop talking.
Even if Trump said what she claimed, well, let’s put it this way: I’d much rather be called fat than be raped by former President Bill Clinton and subsequently have a campaign launched against me by his wife in order to discredit, humiliate, and ruin me.
I’d say that’s why plenty of decent human beings aren’t with her — among many other reasons. Maybe Machado should use her time off of the interview circuit to think about that.
