Conservative street artist Sabo has struck again in Los Angeles, California, this time trolling liberals headed to see the premiere of the new “Star Wars: Rogue One” movie on Saturday, essentially to “rub it in” that their favored candidate lost the election.
Sabo is well known for parodying and asserting himself against the predominate liberal narrative, and was a staunch critic of failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
According to Truth Revolt, Sabo spent the early hours of the morning plastering his own version of the movie’s poster in various places near the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, one that features President-elect Donald Trump as the hero of the popular sci-fi saga.
The faux posters, which read “Rogue Won: A Culture War Story” instead of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” feature a heroic-looking Trump surrounded by some of his closest allies, such as chief of staff Stepphen Bannon, Fox News host Sean Hannity, conservative pundit Ann Coulter, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange (not exactly an ally, but he did his part) and popular anti-politically correct figures Gavin McInnes and Milo Yiannopolous.
The Hollywood Reporter also reported that Sabo took a shot a liberal actor Bryan Cranston by lampooning the premiere of Cranston’s new movie “Why Him?” with a parody poster featuring an awkward hug between Trump, Cranston and Hillary Clinton.
The caption on that poster read, “Of all the guys his country could have chosen … ” followed by the tag-line “See you in Canada” at the bottom, likely a reference to Cranston’s initial pledge to leave the U.S. if Trump were elected, a promise he has since backed off of while wishing Trump success during his term in office.
“It does my heart well to know Hollywood went all out producing all kinds of girl-power movies in anticipation of the first woman president only to have their parade totally rained on by a white-skinned, blue-eyed, all-America loving, p***y-grabbing blowhard of a man’s man,” Sabo told THR with regard to his faux movie posters.
“I’ve never seen Hollywood’s panties in such a bunch, and it was well worth the price of a vote,” he added. “To think: Hillary had just about every facet of the media pulling for her. I’d never seen the mainstream media sell their souls for a candidate the way they did for Hillary, and she still lost.”
The U.K. Independent reported on Sabo’s guerilla art campaign as well, noting that his political views were far from the norm for the majority of artists who live in the heavily liberal area.
Sabo explained on his own website: “My aim as an artist is to be as dirty, ground level and mean as any liberal artist out there, more so if I can. Use their tactics, their methods, appeal to their audience, the young, urban, street urchins with a message they never hear in a style they own.”
We can only wish Sabo continued success in his efforts to poke liberals in the eye with their own stick, as we thoroughly enjoy his artwork and most certainly get a chuckle out of how much he rankles the liberal left in Hollywood and across the country.
