New government legislation could force all schools in Britain to teach kids about pornography, sexting, the nature of consent and domestic violence.

The U.K. Independent reported that government ministers were working to amend the Children and Social Work Bill before Parliament.

A government source told The London Times that Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening was “clear” that this was something that needed attention.

“It is not just a question of making it mandatory but also of what we should be teaching, including issues such as sexting and domestic violence,” she said.

A spokesperson for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children told The Independent that the organization “has long campaigned for the introduction of compulsory, high-quality sex and relationships education in schools,” and that they were “pleased to hear the government is considering introducing this long-overdue requirement and look forward to working with the government on this important issue.”

“Age-appropriate sex education helps children learn about healthy relationships, develop a respect for themselves and others, and can prevent sexual harassment and abuse. If we support and educate our children now, we help lay foundations for healthy relationships in the future,” the spokesperson continued.

That’s debatable, but not if Greening has anything to say about it.

The U.K. Sun reported that the education secretary planned to end an “opt-out” to allow independent schools and faith-based schools, which include more than half of all secondary schools in Britain, to decide if they want to teach the classes.

The chairs of five cross-party parliamentary committees reportedly urged Greening to push forward with the agenda, but a spokeswoman for the Department for Education did not say when any changes may be scheduled, even if the plan is adopted.

This is outrageous, considering the legislation targets secondary schools, where children can be as young as 11. Such moves are just another attempt by the left to indoctrinate kids about sex outside the context of the family — and it shouldn’t be allowed to happen.
