President Donald Trump vowed on the campaign trail that he would take immediate action to stop illegal immigration into the United States and authorize the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Once again, Trump has made good on his promises. On Wednesday, Trump signed executive orders that authorized the building of a wall and made it easier for law enforcement to deport criminal illegals, the U.K. Express reported.
“They are going to get a one-way ticket to their home countries and their governments will take them back. Federal agencies are going to unapologetically enforce the law, no ifs, no buts. We will target illegal immigrants for removal and return them,” press secretary Sean Spicer said at the White House daily briefing.
“We will stop federal grant money for cities and states who harbor illegal immigrants,” he added.
CNN noted that Trump’s executive orders also boosted the number of Border Patrol agents — pending funding from Congress — and made it so illegals charged with any crime could face deportation, even if they haven’t been convicted yet.
Trump was expected to announce even more executive orders aimed at curbing immigration from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen — all countries with serious terrorism problems, the New York Post reported.
So far, Trump has only been in office for a few days, but he has followed through on many of his campaign promises. It’s refreshing to see a politician actually keep his word once he is in office.
Hopefully, Trump will continue to stand up to the whining liberals screaming “racism” and do what needs to be done to keep this nation safe.
