Church Lets Muslim Worship During Service She De-Deifies Christ

After almost every act of radical Islamic terrorism, liberals like to remind everyone that a vast majority of Muslims are tolerant folk who are more than capable of getting along with their Christian neighbors.

One of those so-called “tolerant” Muslims was reportedly invited into St. Mary’s (Scottish Episcopal) Cathedral in Glasgow, Scotland, and given the opportunity to read/chant from the Quran during the service, Breitbart reported.

The Muslim girl who chanted from the Quran chose a verse that de-deified Christ. Yes, you read that correctly.

“It befitteth not the Majesty of Allah that He should take unto Himself a son,” she read. That particular line is from Surah 19, verse 35.

She then read a line from verse 36 that had the baby Jesus saying, “And lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. That is the right path.”

This Muslim girl was invited to a Christian church, stood at a lectern and overtly denied the deity of Christ in front of the entire congregation.

The church had posted a video of the reading on their Facebook page, but it has since been taken down. You can watch the video here instead:

The BBC reported that the girl’s name was Madinah Javed, and that the senior clergyman at the church claimed that the reading was meant to promote understand between the two religions.

Can you imagine for a minute the outrage that would ensue if a Christian went into a mosque and stated that Muhammad wasn’t a true prophet and Allah wasn’t the true God? There would be no end to the outcry condemning him and all Christians as ignorant Islamophobes.

Christian Today noted that Michael Nazir-Ali, former Bishop of Rochester in Britain and a leading evangelical, condemned the reading and called for the Scottish Episcopal Church to take action.

“Christians should know what their fellow citizens believe and this can include reading the Quran for themselves, whether in the original or in translation. This is not, however, the same thing as having it read in church in the context of public worship,” he stated.

What this Muslim girl did was absolutely despicable, and she should be ashamed that she took this opportunity to attempt to publicly undermine a Christian celebration.
