The four Chicago thugs who allegedly kidnapped and then tortured a mentally challenged white man live on Facebook this week reportedly taunted his parents in a series of text messages.
According to local authorities, after the victim’s parents reported their 18-year-old son missing Monday, they soon after “began receiving text messages from persons claiming to be holding him captive,” ABC News reported.
It was by investigating these messages that authorities were then able to locate the Facebook video, which by Wednesday had gone viral across the nation.

The suspects were subsequently tracked down and apprehended. As for the victim, he was observed walking outside wearing shorts.
“Because it was unusual to see a man in shorts in the cold weather, the officers stopped to talk to the man, who appeared disoriented, and he was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries,” Chicago station WLFD reported.
Police suspected that he had been held for anywhere between 24 and 48 hours, during which time he had been tied up, beaten, mocked, forced to drink toilet water, laughed at and berated with both anti-white and anti-Trump rhetoric, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The four assailants have since been slammed with a litany of charges, including but not limited to aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
In explaining why they chose to add the hate crime charge, Chicago Police Cmdr. Kevin Duffin pointed to the victim’s “diminished mental capacity, the fact that they tied him up, the obvious racial quotes that they posted live on Facebook.”
“He’s traumatized by the incident and it’s tough to communicate with him at this point,” Duffin added.
Speaking Thursday at a news briefing, the victim’s brother-in-law, David Boyd, said the victim was doing “well — as well as he could be at this time.”
“This should never happen,” he added.
