Earlier this month, Texas elector Chris Suprun, 42, made headlines when he stated in an editorial for The New York Times that he would not cast his ballot for President-elect Donald Trump because Trump lacked “foreign policy experience and (the) demeanor needed to be commander in chief.”
One of the claims Suprun made was that he was a first responder at the Pentagon on 9/11 and that in the days after that tragic event he had watched President George W. Bush lead the country through one of the worst periods in modern history.
He then criticized Trump for lacking the leadership needed to unite Americans.
But it turned out that Suprun might be the one lacking character (and math) skills.
According to an investigation by WFAA, Supran did not become employed as a first responder with the City of Manassas Park, Virginia, until October 10, 2001.
The fire chief also said that his department never responded to the Pentagon or any of of the other sites on 9/11.
To make matters worse, Suprun has been reaping the benefits from this apparent lie for years. WFAA reported that at least twice in the last few years he has been introduced as a 9/11 veteran before throwing out first pitches at Major League baseball games.
WFAA also said Suprun had claimed to be a paramedic with Air Methods air ambulance and Freedom EMS in Dallas, but records obtained by the news station indicated that those claims weren’t true, either.
Federal court records also indicated that Suprun has been in bankruptcy for the past five years and collecting unemployment compensation during part of that time, while his résumé on LinkedIn said he was working.
This guy is a disgrace. He has the nerve to attack Trump’s character, and he even accused Gen. Michael Flynn of having a “checkered past,” but he has apparently lived a lie for some 15 years.
The mainstream media loved this guy for dumping on Trump, but they probably won’t touch him now that it’s revealed he’s about a big a phony as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Note: WFAA on Friday updated their story in response to a statement Suprun reportedly made on Reddit. WFAA’s update read:
“UPDATE: Responding on Reddit today, Chris Suprun said he worked as a firefighter in Dale City, Virginia, on Sept. 11, 2001. But there’s no listing for Dale City on his publicly available and comprehensive LinkedIn résumé. In September 2001, according to Suprun’s LinkedIn résumé, he was employed by the Manassas Park, Virginia, fire department. Suprun also does not list being a firefighter in Dale City, Virginia, on a lengthy seven-page paper résumé he has recently handed out to potential employers in Texas. Neither Suprun nor his public relations firms have responded to WFAA since this story was first published.”
