Audience Goes Wild After Seeing What Commander in Chief Trump Wore to Speech

President Donald Trump sported a seriously awesome military outfit when he made a speech Thursday aboard the USS Gerald Ford in Newport News, Virginia.

“They just gave me this beautiful jacket,” Trump said, to cheers from his audience of Navy sailors and officers. “They said, here, Mr. President, please take this home. I said, let me wear it. And then they gave me the beautiful hat, and I said, you know, maybe I’ll do that.”

And man, does he look good.

Not only does he sport a hat with the USS Gerald Ford, but he was given a ship jacket as well.

And on his left chest — “Donald Trump, Commander-in-Chief.”

It makes you proud to have a decent commander in chief again.

And Trump is proud, too.

“I’m privileged to stand here today with the incredible men and women of the United States Navy,” he said. “American sailors are the best warfighting sailors anywhere in the world. And it’s not even close.”

“This warship, and all who serve on it, should be a source of shared pride for our nation,” he said at another point in the speech. (White House transcript is here.)

Then he got to the heart of explaining why America needs to build up its defense strength.

“We will give our military the tools you need to prevent war and, if required, to fight war and only do one thing — you know what that is? Win! Win!

“We’re going to start winning again,” he said.

And we can’t wait.
