ALERT: Dems Find Next Move for Chelsea… Senate Run?

Dems Find Next Move for Chelsea Senate Run

If we’ve learned anything since the 2016 presidential election, we learned that the Democrat Party really has no idea how to exist without a Clinton at the helm.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s humiliating loss to now-President Donald Trump has left the Democrat party with no real leader, so now they are turning to Chelsea Clinton in the hope of salvation, The New York Daily News reported.

Reportedly, Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand could be eyeing a 2020 run against Trump. Should that happen, Democrats are thinking that Clinton could run for Gillibrand’s seat, potentially facing off against Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former President John F. Kennedy.

Reportedly, much of the buzz about a possible Clinton run is due to the fact that she has been active on Twitter recently, posting political tweets.

If that’s really the criteria for running for Senate now, a lot of us should be throwing our names in the ring.

At this point, any talk of a run is pure speculation. Fox News noted that Clinton stated that she doesn’t plan to run for Senate — but her mother also said at several points in her career that she didn’t plan to seek the presidency. We’ll see what Chelsea’s real feelings are as we get closer to 2020.

Having Clinton’s daughter in the Senate would give the Democrats someone to rally around — since they are apparently incapable of finding anyone to lead the party who doesn’t have the word “Clinton” in their name.

The New York Post noted in November that even if a Senate run isn’t likely, it is possible Clinton could run for the House, which could be a stepping stone for her to run for higher office.

Apparently, the Clintons still haven’t learned that America doesn’t want them anymore. They’ve had their run, but now it’s time for the Democrat Party to find someone new to lead them into more crushing defeats for the next few years.
