230 Anti-Trump Rioters Face up to 10 Years in Prison for Felony Charges

Some in the liberal mainstream media tried diligently to paint last week’s Inauguration Day protests as peaceful and legitimate, but as usual the actual facts belied the phony narrative.

Approximately 230 so-called “peaceful protesters” were arrested and most are expected to be charged with felony rioting, according to CBS News.

“The arrests came after some protesters created chaos,” CBS noted. “Windows of downtown businesses were smashed, and police deployed pepper spray and ‘sting balls’ against the crowd. The protesters were armed with crowbars and threw objects at people and businesses, destroying storefronts and damaging vehicles.”

Moreover, at least six Washington police officers were hurt, three of them by flying objects. Does that sound peaceful? I think not. Some members of the liberal media thought it did, including Wesley Lowery of The Washington Post, who complained on Twitter about what he called President Donald Trump’s refusal to knowledge “legitimate dissent”:

And even after Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., complained about the protesters’ behavior, writing on Twitter that to act violently was “un-American,” Lowery still stuck with his “legitimate dissent” shtick.

“The participants in the Boston Tea Party would likely beg to differ,” he wrote back to her.

Vox’s fake analysis of the protests was even worse: “Don’t judge the Inauguration Day protests based on one burning car,” pleaded the leftist rag.

“For most of the time, the protests were, frankly, boring.”

You sure about that?

Here’s some video footage. Warning: Bad language ahead.

To be fair, not every protester acted like this, but the fact that at least 230 did suggested that the protests/riots were anything but “boring” — not that them being “boring” would have been a bad thing.

Instead. many protesters chose not only to act like criminals but also to do so without feeling any remorse. In fact, one of those who was not arrested reportedly defended the violence and vandalism, telling The Washington Post that such actions were committed “with nuance and intention,” whatever that meant.

Wrong, kid. The violence was perpetrated with malice and ignorance, which is exactly why the hoodlums who were nailed will most likely be spending a lot of time in jail.
